Essential stops for driving enthusiasts

July 6, 2017

Find driving a pleasure rather than a uncomfortable chore?  Planning your Border 500 route and associated stops - maybe consider the following driving related places of interest.

David Coultard Experience - near Castle Douglas

"A Formula 1 Aladin’s Cave full of car racing memorabilia owned by David Coulthard. A must for all F1 fans."

Jim Clark Rooms - Duns

The modest historic museum is home to a unique collection of over 100 trophies and memorabilia and draws visitors from all over Scotland, the UK and the world.

At the heart of the museum is the trophy collection featuring both Jim Clark’s historic Formula 1 World Championship cups from 1963 and 1965 and the Indianapolis 500 clock trophy from 1965.

Historic Classic Motoring Extravaganza Thirlestane Castle Lauder

Over 600 cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles are expected in the "Open" concours classes together with some 500 vehicles gathered around fifty "Club" stands.

Galloway Hills Rally

The 2017 Armstrong Galloway Hills Rally will take place on Saturday 9th September. The event will again be based in Castle Douglas, with all pre-event checks, start, finish, and prize giving taking place at locations in and around the host town.

From the back room guys to our team of pro racing instructors, every one of us lives and breathes cars.  So we know that feeling you feel when you sit in your first Lamborghini or Ferrari and fire it up.  It never leaves you, as it's never left us.

We want you to drive, enjoy, love your time with these amazing cars, just like we do!
